Who we are: Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to our neighbors in need in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.

What we do: Provide emergency financial assistance to Frederick County, Maryland, residents to prevent homelessness by assisting with eviction notices, security deposits, and utility shutoffs, plus assistance with other needs on a case-by-case basis.

Background: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, was founded by six college students and an older member in 1833. From those humble beginnings, it has grown to become a network of charity encircling the world.  â€‹Today, more than 800,000 members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are serving those in need in their own communities in 152 countries.
